Program Description
EquiNex AI ("EquiNex," "we," "us") offers an SMS messaging program for ride-sharing notifications, ride status updates, and rider inactivity notifications through the EquiNex mobile application.
Message Types
By participating in this program, you may receive the following types of text messages:
- Opt-in confirmation — A one-time message confirming your enrollment
- Ride start notifications — Alerts when a rider you are a designated ride contact for begins a ride
- Ride completion notifications — Alerts when a rider's ride is complete
- Rider inactivity notifications — Notifications sent when a rider may require attention during a shared ride session
- All-clear notifications — Confirmation that a rider has responded and is okay
Opt-In and Consent
You opt in to receive SMS messages when a rider adds your phone number as a designated ride contact in the EquiNex app. You will receive an initial opt-in confirmation message. By replying YES, you consent to receive ride notifications from EquiNex.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not need to consent to SMS messages to use the EquiNex app.
Opt-Out
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from EquiNex. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS notifications unless you opt in again.

Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on ride activity. You will typically receive:
- 1 message when a ride starts (if ride notifications are enabled)
- 1 message when a ride ends
- Up to 5 messages during a rider inactivity event
- 1 all-clear message when a rider inactivity event is resolved
On a typical day, you may receive 2-3 messages per ride. During a safety event, you may receive up to 7 messages.

Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
Supported Carriers
The EquiNex SMS program is supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
We respect your privacy. Phone numbers collected for SMS notifications are used solely for the purposes described in this program. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
