Program Description
EquiNex AI ("EquiNex," "we," "us") offers an SMS messaging program for ride safety alerts, ride status notifications, and emergency contact communications through the EquiNex mobile application.
Message Types
By participating in this program, you may receive the following types of text messages:
- Opt-in confirmation — A one-time message confirming your enrollment
- Ride start notifications — Alerts when a rider you are an emergency contact for begins a ride
- Ride completion notifications — Alerts when a rider's ride is complete
- Safety alerts — Emergency notifications when a potential fall is detected and the rider has not responded
- All-clear notifications — Confirmation that a rider has responded and is safe
Opt-In and Consent
You opt in to receive SMS messages when a rider adds your phone number as an emergency contact in the EquiNex app. You will receive an initial opt-in confirmation message. By replying YES, you consent to receive ride safety alerts from EquiNex.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not need to consent to SMS messages to use the EquiNex app.
Opt-Out
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from EquiNex. You will receive a one-time confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out.
Important: Emergency safety alerts (fall detection) cannot be opted out of via SMS while the Advanced Safety feature is enabled by the rider. To stop all safety-related messages, the rider must disable Advanced Safety in the EquiNex app settings.

Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on ride activity. You will typically receive:
- 1 message when a ride starts (if ride notifications are enabled)
- 1 message when a ride ends
- Up to 5 messages during a safety alert event
- 1 all-clear message when a safety alert is resolved
On a typical day, you may receive 2-3 messages per ride. During a safety event, you may receive up to 7 messages.

Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
Supported Carriers
The EquiNex SMS program is supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
We respect your privacy. Phone numbers collected for SMS notifications are used solely for the purposes described in this program. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
