Equine-X LLC ("Equinex AI," "we," "us," or "our") understands that your privacy is important to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website at equinexai.com and the Equinex AI mobile application (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect information you enter or submit, including:
We do not automatically scrape veterinary records or third-party health databases. The only horse-health information we have is what you choose to enter into the Services.
When you use the Services, we automatically collect:
This helps us maintain security, improve performance, and understand how the Services are used.
When you provide ride contact information for a third party, you represent that you have their permission to share their contact information with us and to send them automated messages on your behalf.
We use:
We do not use cookies to sell personal information.
Our Services may use:
These partners may receive limited technical data needed to operate their services. Our advertising measurement partner (Meta) receives a device identifier (Advertising ID or IDFA) solely to measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns. This data is not used to build advertising profiles or serve targeted ads within our app. On iOS 14.5 and later, you will be asked for permission before this identifier is shared.
We use your information to:
Operate and maintain the Services
Provide account access and authentication
Provide AI-assisted features that you request (horse health assessment, ride coaching, document processing, etc.)
Improve performance, stability, and usability
Send notifications you opt into
Send rider inactivity notifications to designated ride contacts when optional ride safety features are enabled
Respond to support requests
Protect against fraud or misuse
Comply with legal obligations
We do not currently use Services data for barn-side operations or responder workflows. As we develop features such as trail operator dashboards and consent-based ride sharing workflows, we will provide advance notice and, where required, obtain your consent before processing your data for those purposes.
We may share information with:
Service providers who help us run the Services
Analytics and crash reporting partners
Legal authorities when required by law or to respond to lawful requests
AI processors (see Third-Party Integrations above)
Recipients of public share links you create at share.equinexai.com to display ride data. Share links use unguessable identifiers and are accessible only to those with the link. You can pause or end sharing at any time. We do not publicly list or index share URLs.
We do not currently share data with barns, trainers, or third parties beyond the user-configured ride contact notifications you initiate. As we develop new features, any new data sharing will be subject to advance notice and your consent.
We do not:
Sell your personal information
Rent your personal information
We share a device advertising identifier with Meta solely to measure app install attribution from our ad campaigns. This is not cross-context behavioral advertising and does not involve your personal account data. You may opt out of this sharing via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS or your device advertising settings on Android.
This applies to all users, including California residents.
Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age (or under 16, if accessed from the EU or UK).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below those ages.
If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
Parents may contact us to request deletion or review of a minor's information.
Any veterinary or horse-health information entered into the Services is treated as user-submitted content. It is not shared with barns, trainers, or third parties except through the share links and ride contact notifications you configure yourself. As we develop new features, any expansion of this scope will be subject to advance notice and your consent.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:
Encrypted data transmission
Secure authentication
Access controls
Regular security reviews
No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
